Meet the Team

David Brenton has more than 35 years of experience in new home construction and commercial and residential real estate. Since joining RE/MAX in 1992, he has achieved career sales of over $346 million with more than 2600 transactions. This level of performance is achieved by running a team of talented individuals who excel at what they do. David’s goal is to make the home buying and selling process more effective. By dividing the responsibilities of the real estate transaction among the specialized team members, David Brenton’s Team is able to provide a high level of client care. David's hobbies include: fishing, boating and learning to master the Wii. His newest interests include playing with his granddaughter. David has always enjoyed calling the Southside home and is a graduate of Southport High School (Class of 1974). David is a lifelong member of Faith United Church of Christ and also attends Southport Presbyterian Church.

Jean Ann (Pence) Myers is a Listing Specialist with over 20 years experience in sales and marketing. Jean Ann joined the Team in 2000 and served the Team for 6 ½ years as the Marketing Manager. Jean Ann now assists sellers in promoting their home on the market, acts as a contact point during the listing period and coordinates the details for closings.

Jean Ann is a graduate of Southwestern High School (Class of 1982) and Indiana University. She is married to Bob Myers, and they have three sons who attend Perry Township schools. Mary Kay (Cassiero) Schafer is a Buyer Specialist. For over 18 years, she has established herself in the real estate community through her strong work ethic and desire to serve her client's needs. Mary Kay joined the Team in 2004 and enjoys working with buyers to help find the home to fulfill their needs.

Mary Kay lives in Perry Township where she raised 3 daughters. She is a proud grandmother and is fortunate to have her family nearby. Mary Kay grew up on the Southside of Indianapolis and has always called it home. She is a member of the St. Jude parish and graduate of Roncalli High School (Class of 1974). Sarah (Brenton) Smith is the Office Manager and Client Care Coordinator. Her effervescent personality shines through when she is assisting clients. Through her attention to detail and extensive experience in client care, Sarah is able to support clients in all aspects of the real estate process. As David’s daughter, Sarah has been with the Team since the beginning and growing up in a real estate household provided her with years of training.

Sarah is a graduate of Perry Meridian High School (Class of 2000) and Butler University. She is married to Hunter Smith, and they reside in Franklin Township. Sarah has a daughter, Marilyn, and two dachshunds, Spud and Piper. Sarah enjoys travel, making crafts and spending quality time with family.

Jamie (Turner) Englert is a Buyer Specialist. When looking for a new home, Jamie is excited to help buyers locate the perfect fit. Jamie has previous real estate and mortgage experience which assists her in thoroughly explaining the buying process.

Jamie is a graduate of Rossville High School (Class of 1995) and Purdue University. She is married to Jeff Englert, and they reside in Franklin Township. Jamie has a son, Gavin, and two dogs, Mowgli and Bailey. Jamie enjoys scrapbooking, traveling and volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul and the Humane Society of Indianapolis. Jamie is active in the Our Lady of Greenwood parish.

Julie is an Administrative Assistant. Julie provides Saturday administrative coverage for the Team and is instrumental in the completion of various office functions and special projects. Julie implements several of our marketing programs for new homes on the market. Whether, greeting clients or assisting with truck rental, Julie attends to the behind the scenes details with great devotion and eagerness.

Julie lives in Whiteland with her family. She works in the Perry Township School System at Southport High School during the school year and summer break as well. Julie has been with the team for several years and is a valued asset.

Jane (Mennel) Brenton is a part time Team member and David’s full time wife. Jane is the Pharmacy Systems Inventory Coordinator for St. Francis Hospital and a graduate of Roncalli High School (Class of 1975). Jane assists the team with her bookkeeping and accounting skills.

David and Jane have been married since 1978 and have two daughters and one granddaughter. Jane’s hobbies include spending time with family, playing euchre and reading.

Hunter Smith is the Team “sign guy”. Hunter works part time for the Team and coordinates the outdoor marketing, including directional signs, yard signs, brochure boxes and lockboxes. Hunter is also a Supervisor at Sam’s Club in Greenwood.

Hunter is a graduate of Hume-Fogg Academic Magnet (2000) and Nashville State Community College. He is married to Sarah Smith and has a daughter, Marilyn. Hunter’s hobbies include camping, working in the yard and perfecting his Wii skills. Hunter’s enthusiasm and willingness to go above and beyond make him a valued asset.
